In EIT (electrical impedance tomography), the boundary shape and electrode position should be acquired as accurately as possible. Recent advances in 3D scanner technology allow the boundary shape and electrode positions to be captured. We used a handheld 3D scanner to capture the boundary shape of the thorax and electrode positions.
